Elizabeth Dow has been an attorney for nearly fifteen years. She earned a BA from
Yale University and a JD from
Boston College Law School.
In 2006, the
Illinois Supreme Court appointed Elizabeth to the Board of Directors of the
Lawyers Trust Fund.
In addition to her work as an attorney, Elizabeth teaches Constitutional Law at the
University of St. Francis and Business Law at
Joliet Junior College.
Elizabeth and her husband,
Bob, have four children;
Mike,
Will,
Claire, and
Dulce. They live in Joliet, and worship at the
Cathedral of St. Raymond, where Elizabeth serves on the Parish Administration Commission.
Elizabeth Dow's diverse experiences during fifteen years as a practicing attorney have enabled her to develop the skills to be an effective and fair-minded judge.
Elizabeth has worked in big and small firms and in the private and public sector. She has served as a village attorney and prosector. Her work as an advocate for seniors citizens and the under privileged has been recognized by the
Chicago Volunteer Services Foundation and the
Will County Bar Association.
Elizaebth also has been deeply involved in volunteer and civic organizations in our communit, including
Daybreak Shelter, and has coached soccer for many years at the
Joliet Park District.
Elizabeth Dow will be a common-sense voice on the Will County Court.
